Going for the Low Intensity

Jan on Greenway“High Intensity” seems the operative words for many an exercise routine and workout these days. It may suit some people and more power to them (they will need it). I don’t think you have to knock yourself out to get the exercise you need. I see people on my walking trail that look like they are taking “exercise” if you know what I mean. That grim expression, the heavy breathing, sweat running down their backs, no pain, no gain notions running through their heads. No Thank You! Take a leisurely stroll with a good friend, sit at the half way point and sun yourself, have a pleasant conversation, sense the unobstructed universe over your head and in it. Relax and enjoy. Let us never lose sight of the benefits of pleasure.
